Calendly bookings and HubSpot form leads not showing in Google Ads, Meta or LinkedIn?
Updated 8 November 2026 · by Matt Klette
On B2B and lead-gen sites the conversion that matters is a booked call or a submitted form, not a purchase. It's also the one most often missing.
Why leads go missing
- Embedded tools run in a frame. Calendly, Typeform, Jotform and Chili Piper load inside an iframe. Your page's tags (GA4, the Meta pixel, the LinkedIn Insight Tag) can't see what happens inside it unless you listen for the tool's completion message.
- Forms submit without a page change. HubSpot, Marketo and many WordPress form plugins submit in place, so a "thank-you page" conversion never fires.
- The tag is there, the conversion isn't. The LinkedIn Insight Tag or Google Ads tag loads on every page, so everything looks installed, but no lead conversion was ever set up.
The result: LinkedIn, Google Ads and Meta optimise for visits and clicks, because they never see a lead.
How to check
- Submit your own form or book a test meeting, then watch GA4 Realtime and each ad platform's conversion or event test view. If nothing arrives within a minute, it isn't tracked.
- Run a free Pixel Check scan. It detects HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Calendly, Typeform, Gravity Forms and more, and flags when no lead conversion exists in the page or in Tag Manager.
The fix
- Send one event when a lead is really captured:
generate_leadin GA4 terms. For Calendly, listen for itscalendly.event_scheduledmessage. For HubSpot forms, use the form's submit callback. - Map that one event to each platform's lead conversion: Meta Lead, a Google Ads conversion action, a LinkedIn conversion.
- Test it end to end with a real submission before trusting the numbers.
Count leads in your CRM for a week and compare them with each platform. A big gap is the clearest sign something is still missing.
How many tracking problems does your site have?
Free 20-second scan, no sign-up. It counts duplicate pixels, missing purchase and lead tracking, and broken Tag Manager containers, and shows you the worst one.
